Another Octopizzo Born in Kibera..???

You haven't heard of "Mistari Kali"  if you haven't seen or met this Kibera boy.

Recently we had a class tour to the famous Rowallan Camp along the Kibera Drive. The activities started off well with much dancing, playing of several games and even had a chance to take a photo standing close to the many monkeys found in the area.

But nothing aroused my attention since such activities were familiar, not even the monkey-photo thing which was rare if to say had never happened but still did not sweep my attention.

After a tiring time of jumping here and there, just reluxing under the shade of trees around, there came a small boy who went to the MC and took the microphone,  i didn't bother alot about him till i heard the "Michongoanos" that came from that boy...it was crazy. We started crowding around him as we cracked at his jokes, .the climax came when the boy asked the MC to give him a beat of any song, i wish you were there, the lyrics that came from that Namba nane boy showed the mad Talent he got.

We kept asking him to bring up more lyrics famously reffered to(kuangusha mistari) and we enjoyed. My evening was lighetened up by him...i tell you that boy has Real Talent.

Unfortunately i didn't have the opportunity to meet him on one on one talk,so, sadly i didn't get to know his name as he just disappearad after his short perfomance, but atleast i got to see what he can do.

I bet he will become a very big rapper if he gets someone to help and nurture his talent.

The Wonderful ICT World At Nairobits Trust School of Digital Design

NairoBits Trust is a youth based organization that uses ICT multimedia creatively to improve the lives of less privileged children and youth from the non-formal settlement

This institution has and is still recruitting  more and more youths  from the slums who have completed their K.C.P.E and K.C.S.E and who have passion in ICT but haven't got a chance to continue with their studies due to financial problems and educates them  free of charge.

The Nairobits Trust has a full detailed 1 Year and 3 Months course where they heavily specialise in Web design. After that, their students graduate as Web designers and the institution posts the good perfomers to some of the well known IT firms in the country like TechnoBrain,Horizon, Kenya Web, Intrepid Kenya, Somasource among others and the graduates get employed there while others work as interns thus gaining more skills.

You will agree with me that this institution needs recognition and applausal from everyone for their good work since, among the Kenyas' best Designers, Nairobits Trust School of Digital Design produces a good number and their graduates end up working in the biggest, well known and best perfoming IT firms in the country.

Lets see more and more organisations come up and follow what our good brothers, Nairobits do, in empowering the youths and equiping them with such important skills to better their future.

Congratulaions Nairobits Trust...!!!!!!
