Its high time we forget about the Marigas' ,Origis, Wanyama and Oliechs and concentrate on the new born stars right here in Kenya.
The Acakoro football club is a football team found in Nairobi County in Korogocho area.The team is made up of primary school pupils in Korogocho who are aged between 8-12 years.The team comprises of both boys and girls who are not only trained on playing football alone but also receive Football Education.
The team is sponsored by a team of sponsors from Australian, and has several men and female coachers where the female coach the girls' team and the male coach the boys' team respectively.The main aim of Acakoro Football is to let the pupils explore their talents at a younger age and learn life values like tolerance, commitment,respect among others.The team combines of children from all walks of life; Orphans, Street children and those living under difficult conditions who are trained and they take part in the various football tournaments around where thy compete.
The players are so dedicated and are doing very well despite the hursh slum life challenges they undergo.
